Avi Friedman has been the spiritual leader of Congregation Ohr Shalom (a/k/a – the SJCC) since July of 2005, when he came to this community from Pittsburgh. Together with his wife Jodi, they are the proud parents of four children – Gabi, Jonah, Jessica and Ilana.
Since his arrival, Rabbi Friedman began sending out a weekly email D’var Torah called The WORD and started a congregational Facebook group.
This blog is another attempt to expand the boundaries of our synagogue beyond its walls and into people’s daily lives. Please join the conversation!
