Just picked up Elliot Dorf's book that's the basis for your upcoming class on the Conservative movement's evolving views of Jewish law, and am finding it makes for fascinating reading. ("The Unfolding Tradition, Jewish Law after Sinai") Many of the names of these thought leaders are familiar, some of whom have appeared at SJCC and two of whom as rabbis at services we attended.
